Using BukaSosa

These terms govern use of BukaSosa, a classifieds marketplace for Timor-Leste. Use the service only if you can legally enter the relevant agreement, or with the involvement of a parent or guardian where permitted by law. Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in details and tell us about suspected misuse.

Listings and acceptable use

Only list items you own or are authorized to sell. Describe condition, defects, price and delivery honestly, and use photos and text you have permission to publish. Do not post illegal, stolen, counterfeit or dangerous prohibited goods; scams, misleading offers, harassment, discriminatory content or another person’s private information. Do not spam, bypass security or interfere with the service. Sellers are responsible for applicable permits, taxes and legal selling obligations.

Transactions and consumer rights

Buyers and sellers agree payment, inspection, delivery and any returns directly. BukaSosa does not hold payments, provide escrow or promise automatic refunds, and is not the seller merely because it hosts a listing. Listing approval is not a guarantee of the item or seller. Statutory obligations still apply where relevant, including Timor-Leste’s consumer protections for transactions with professional suppliers. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights or limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited.

Your content and moderation

You retain rights in your content and give BukaSosa permission to store, resize, display and distribute it as needed to operate and promote your listing within the service. We may review, restrict or remove content and suspend accounts for violations, fraud, safety concerns or legal requirements. Use the listing report tool for suspected abuse; contact us below to question a moderation decision. Authorized staff may inspect reported or relevant conversations for moderation.

Availability and disputes

The service may be interrupted for maintenance or technical problems. Take care when meeting sellers and keep transaction evidence. Raise purchase problems with the seller first; contact BukaSosa about platform misuse. Unresolved legal disputes remain subject to applicable law and competent authorities or courts, including mandatory protections in Timor-Leste. These terms do not require you to waive access to those remedies.

Leaving and updates

You can stop using the service at any time and contact us to request account closure. Retention of records is explained in the Privacy Policy. Updated terms will be published here with their date; changes do not remove rights already acquired under applicable law. Contact the operator below for questions or complaints.
